After watching the mess that is Teairra Mari try to cook. I had to hit up a singing Diva that can actually cook. You don't get the looks but you will get some good ass food. Patti Labelle talks to allhiphop about health and food.
So guys, you thought maybe you could find a girl that could look good, sing and cook? NOPE Watch as Teairra Mari makes dressin' (that's how you say it). She puts sugar in the cornbread...you don't need sugar in the cornbread for dressin'! My fat ass knows that and her skinny ass doesn't.
If you are like me and the Mary Mary single "Get Up" doesn't do it for you. Try this, some old school CHURCH. This is Fellowship Baptist Church in Chicago, Illinois (The Ship) also known as Rev. Clay Evans church. The song is lead by Loretta Oliver. Something About God's Grace
Get Up is the new single from off of Mary Mary’s album “The Sound”. Mary Mary is a gospel duo and this marks their Fifth album.
I’m not crazy about this single because it seems like the message is getting lost. This is not the old time gospel of the past, where the message of Jesus was in the forefront.
I have not listened to the entire new album “The Sound” but if this their best; I will never listen to it. Have a view of their official video and listen for yourself.
This video is from an era when sex appeal was in the music. “Turn the lights down low/Baby come close/Put your hand in mind/Oh please be kind/Let me touch your heart/Let the fire start/So warm/so warm.”This song isn't about fucking yet it's about making love.
This is a unreleased song that was recorded for Jennifer Hudson's debut self titled album. It has a very old school feel with a great horn section. "FOR REAL"
In an industry where singers are more worried if they have a bangin’ beat instead of meaningful lyrics. Having enough sex appeal instead of appreciating the beauty of ones voice. Where it seems every genre is trying to cross over to the popular music world; from Gospel to Country. There seems to be a lack of real artists.
I must make this statement clear; there is not a lack of real artists. However, there seems to be a lack of interest in real artists. Is it possible that we have been force-fed these want to be Pop “Diva’s” so long that the average music buyer doesn’t realize a real artist? While the truth is music buyers have been force-fed, we have not lost the idea of real a real artist.
It gives me great pleasure to introduce and reintroduce to some a real artist: Lina.
With Grammy nominations that cross multiple music categories, Lina is a stunning beauty compared to the likes of Josephine Baker and Sade. She is a musician's musician, who sings in eight languages, and writes all her own songs. Her delivery is sometimes reminiscent of jazz great Billie Holiday, with an artsy, funky style like Erykah Badu. But she's an original. Her sound is fresh and for anyone who is thirsting for soul stirring, life changing music.
Lina released her third album independently in February 2008 on her label, MoodStar Recordings. “MORNING STAR”
I don’t know if I’m the only one but I believe I’m being cyber stalked. A woman is stalking me with an alter ego. Her Government Issue name is Beyonce Knowles but she goes by the alias Sasha Fierce. From Myspace to a random blog there she is.
She’s trying to force me into consuming artificial high fructose corn syrup that she calls music. Never fear afreshmusic.com is here. Here is some real music that you should support instead...
If Jennifer Hudson had a vocal twin it would have to be Terrell Carter. Like Jennifer Hudson he's also an actor. You may have seen him in several stage productions of Tyler Perry; Diary of a Mad Black Woman" the movie," Madea's Class Reunion", " Meet the Browns" and "What's Done In the Dark".
His vocal range is out of this world and his tone makes you go back to the days of Teddy Pendergrass.
Terrell's voice has accompanied artists such as Whitney Houston, Faith Evans, Kelly Price and Carl Thomas and famed drummer Sheila E. . He has toured with Fred Hammond, Kirk Franklin, and Yolanda Adams - some of todays most widely acclaimed gospel singers. His diverse style and keen instinct lead him to contribute with artist like Quincy Jones, Tamia, Oleta Adams, Deborah Cox, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Simply Red, P. Diddy, Tevin Campbell, and KC & JoJo.
